Thanks Ron. Performance wise, I find Mallard the best one yet from GD. Maybe I was lucky with the water/soap ratio in the first try around but for me this was slickest and easiest to lather out of the 10 I have from GD. A thirsty soap but super slick from start to finish. Two pass shave with zero touchup. Scent wise I picked up Chocolate, Coffee, hint of sandalwood, and a little spiciness.

I figured it would be a winner, Guy. Hope he gets more soaps in stock. I just ordered the only one he had available, Credence, which will being me to 5. I have a bit of catching up to do. And I know he has more on the horizon.

Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber today. 20 seconds to load the John’s Brushes Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Schick Plus Platinum still in the Gillette NEW SC. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber aftershave.

I love when I can pull off a shave like this one. The 1910 French Apollo Bijou took proprietary oval shaped blades. Beautiful silver plated razors, they're cheap on the French market. After futzing with modifying a DE blade I settled on an Injector as an easier fit. Once aligned the trimmed Kai Mild blade can be well secured, and the uneven comb does not hinder performance notably. I had another razor at the ready for the head shave but ended up going all the way with the Apollo/Kai combo, marvelous BBS with no dramas.
