SHAVING


I've decided to embark on an attempt to NEVER, NOT EVEN ONCE use the same exact combination for a daily shave... EVER.
My criteria is simply:
1 Razor (DE, SE, or Straight)
1 Blade (if DE or SE)
1 Brush
1 Soap or Cream
1 Aftershave Splash (or none)
1 Aftershave Balm (or none)​
To follow along with my progress, simply subscribe to the thread "How Many Combinations".

As of this writing:
[strike](March 12, 2014), I have successfully used 15 unique combinations out of a possible 99,757. [/strike]
(November 24, 2014), I have successfully used 124 combinations out of a possible 555,920!

*Valet Razor is not used, as I've never achieved a comfortable shave with it, and the only blades that I can find to fit it are Feather Spineless SEs.
**In my total combination calculation, I counted a permutation to include a)No AS Splash and b)No AS Balm, but no permutation includes NO AS Splash and NO AS Balm.

I began 3017ing my soaps earlier this year in effort to really understand and appreciate the products I have. I've learned that it takes me much longer to finish products than my peers. For instance, many gentlemen stipulate they finish a puck of Haslinger Schafmilch in 30-45 shaves. It took me 59! Here's my journey so far.
