My first setup

I started wet shaving in march 2012.

My starting kit was:
  • Razor: Merkur "23C" (or Model 180)
  • Blades: Derby "Extra"
  • Brush: Proraso "Professional" 28mm boar made by Omega
  • Croap: Proraso "white tub" (the soap tub, not the tube) - Old formula: Aloe & Green Tea (Discontinued)
  • Aftershave: Proraso "white" Pre/Post - Old formula: Aloe & Green Tea (Discontinued)
  • Pre shave: Proraso "white" Pre/Post - Old formula: Aloe & Green Tea (Discontinued)
  • Other: Laboratories Osma styptic pencil + Proraso styptic gel
At the same time as I bought my starting kit, I also ordered:
  • Blades: Feather "New Hi-Stainless" - 10 pack
  • Brush: Lijun (now Liojuny Shaving) "SI21-23EB" - Silvertip Badger 21mm
  • Bowl: Lijun plastic shaving bowl
After finishing the 5 pack of Derby "Extra", I started using Feather blades.
I also switched to the Lijun silvertip brush rather quickly.

After a few months, I bought a tube of Mühle shaving cream - Aloe Vera
And half a year later, I added: Proraso "white" aftershave balm - Green Tea & Oatmeal

The above listed equipment is what I used for my first year and a half (close to two years) of wet shaving, before I started experimenting with a variety of other products.
