First and foremost, the mod team and administrators of B&B would like to formally thank you for being such an active and influential part of our community. Along those lines, we're wondering if you'd like the opportunity to serve the site via a stint as a B&B Steward. This is a brand new project here at B&B, so you'd be doing something "new" here and making a bit of B&B history.

The idea for B&B Stewards came about as a response to the phenomenal growth of our site, and out of a desire to continue to provide innovative, relevant, and enjoyable content to our growing member base. Each Steward is assigned one specific forum to shepherd. In your case, we were thinking that the XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX forum might be most appropriate given your demonstrated knowledge and interest. Your role in that forum would be three-fold:

1) Develop and implement threads designed to advance discourse in the forum. Examples of activities along these lines might include threads about new products, an effort to build wiki content relevant to your forum, spearheading mod-approved contests or mod-approved group buys for the forum, polling members to see what information would be most helpful, developing a primer for new wetshavers, or development of any other ideas that you see as helpful to our goal of building a better B&B.

2) Serve as a liaison between members and moderators. You'll be assigned a specific mod to work with in your efforts in the forum. See any problems or concerns, no matter how small? -- let that mod know. See a groundswell of member interest in a certain topic or site improvement that mods and admins might benefit from knowing about? -- let your mod liaison know that, too! Mods aren't abandoning your forum, of course -- we'll still be as active as ever. As the site has grown, we've just had to spend more time on "enforcement" than "development" -- we think you can help us tremendously in that regard.

3) Serve as an active, positive, gentlemanly participant in the forum and across B&B. Your positive example will set the standard for conduct on the site (it already does, or we wouldn't have sent this message!), and will be even more important as an example for new members who look to you as a person with particular knowledge in your forum area.

We envision the average term for Stewards to be 6 months or so in length. Some will be shorter, some longer, but that's the ballpark we're seeking. Stewards are "rewarded" with our gratitude, of course, but also with a badge and increased PM/gallery space for the duration of their time as stewards.
