First, there are a few factors to consider before this question could be answered:

  • The blade itself

What defines a shave (number of passes)?

A shave is defined by the user itself. It consists of the whole shaving session. The shaving session could contain 1-2-3-4 or more passes. The number of passes will affect the longevity of the blade.

The blade itself

Some blades might give you 2 shaves where others might give you 7 shaves. The same blade could give you 2 shaves where another wetshaver would get 7 out of it. Another thing that will affect the shave is what you are shaving. If you have a mustache and let say you do 3 passes, you won't shave a small amount of hair for 3 passes where another user would. In the end, it could mean a full shave extra compared to someone else.
