I'd been looking at the Swiss made Zenith watches since around 1995 (before you could buy one in the U.S.), walking past Dejaun jewelers last week and saw a Zenith add in the window, had to go in, they had the watch of my dreams. Stainless case, black face, 27 jewel automatic movement, gold markers (not numbers) around the dial, black croc band, central second and small date... just above the six marker.

I was nearly as happy leaving the store wearing it as the day I got married, bought it as a dress watch but have not stopped wearing it yet.

What a great watch. Zenith are one of the great Swiss watch makers, imo.

I agree. So good in fact Rolex used Zenith "El Primero" movements in Daytona watches form the late 80's until 2000.
