It looks to have no cracks in the handle, a tough quality to find these days. Nice one.
 
Yup. They did make a version of these with the thinner cap and guard in the 1910's, but yours has the thicker guard and the thinner cap with rounded corners. That places it after August of 1921. These Old Types were produced from the 1921 through 1929 during the reign of the much nicer New Improved line. These Old Types were sold in sets as inexpensive as 29 cents. As great a shaving device as these were, they have a tendency to suffer cracks in the handle. The sub par post war materials and a faulty handle design were the culprits. If your is void of any cracks you have a very nice catch. Just be careful when tightening it down. Hold the neck to turn and not the handle just to be safe.
 
Hi, i dont actually have the razor yet, it is being sent to me next week, it cost me £10.
i like the look of the early razors.....i bet it will clean up really nice
