Your experiences with Mühle silvertips?

I'm getting a Mühle Stylo in African Blackwood thanks to fellow member TMH478 (thanks!), and I want to pair it with this:

However, I never owned a silvertip, and I want to know what you gents think of the ones from Mühle. Are they good?

They are pretty good actually. I put Mühle silvertip grade somewhere between Shavemac finest and Shavemac silvertip. Frankly, they are not as dense as Shavemac. I have 21mm Mühle silvertip and it has a great backbone with bulb shaped and 55mm loft. Good for both soaps and creams. I recommended.:thumbup1:

Thanks! They're expensive, but I suppose you pay a lot for the exclusive design too.

I was afraid no one had tried them here, with now 60 views and one reply!

I love the look of Mühle and the products they present, just screams quality to me.

Muhle does style like no one else, but there's nothing particularly special about their knots, from my limited experience. Not the densest or the softest, but still a luxurious brush. The silvertip I had was a fairly low loft. I don't think I would go over 50mm on a Muhle, unless I only wanted it for creams.

You are kind. However I paid just €50(incl. shipping)like something(in testos-store price is €70). Last June there was a sale in their e-shop and I bought it in there. I am adding the picture. Stylo is pretty expensive but its design is effortless to change the knot whenever you want.

Vlad it performs good work on hard soap too besides it collects most of the lather into the loft. IMHO it is an all around brush.

Hello,

I own a Muhle silvertip and think it is quite good.

From memory, I put it some where between the TGN silvertip and the New Forest 2211 in terms of density.

In terms of softness I think it is pretty similar to the new Semogue.

All in all, my Muhle is great value and a solid performer.
