I've posted several pictures of this razor before but it was only yesterday that I realised it is identical to the razor pictured in this thread:

. The cap has the same shorter screw and distinctive studs while the thin handle has the same knurling, undecorated ball and long neck. The whole thing weighs in at 42g and the only difference is that the base plate has no serial number on it,and I can't account for this.
Maybe the numbers have simply worn away with age- that base plate looks pretty knackered.
Or maybe it's just a very accurate copy, but the details match so well that this seems unlikely.
Or did some Single Rings come out of Canada with no markings at all?
Any suggestions would be appreciated cos I'm fascinated by this razor
