Well yesterday, since we arrived a day early for the annual fill the freezer hunting trip the wife and I decided to peruse the local thrift and antique stores. She was rather surprised that I wanted to do this since normally I grudgingly go along to do so.
Well I’m glad I did.
I found a GEM HFT for $1.00 ($1.08) after tax.
1.25”x7 coticule $35
And a find that would be to important to many folks but seeing as I am a Texas history nutcase this one really caught my eye. Not a special razor by any means but….. it is a Paul Mueller “Menger” razor. And matching barber hone from Paul Mueller fine cutlery in San Antonio, Texas.
I won’t go into the price of the above item with stone. I know I paid too much for it but sometimes things are worth more to one person than to another for reasons other than the actual monetary value.
