Yacht Club brilliantine

Just saw this for a low price of $3.99 for 2oz. at http://www.beautyofnewyork.com no doubt the packaging is a real rip-off (or maybe tribute ?) to the Yardley brilliantine from the 1960's ,my all time favorite. The current Yardley lavender brilliantine doesn't smell like the old 60's formula, nor does it have the same "high gloss" sheen , it has been tamed for todays users. If this new pomade pans out,it will be a nice bargain at this price.Made in USA.

Malocchio you old fox. How do you manage to dig this stuff up? Interesting comments about the Yardley brilliantine. Please let us know how you like the Yacht Club.

Cheers, Todd

NOPE ! haven't ordered it...I have a nice stash of vintage yardley, atkinsons, tres flores (richard hudnuts original),and many other American vintage pomades. The new Yardley pomade is quite good, but much different than the old style. Linetti brilliantine and pomades are very high quality and are found at http://www.pomadeshop.eu and http://www.italianbarber.com ....another good source of hard to find pomades and brilliantines is http://www.barbershopclassics.nl

Thank you much. I knew you would provide great information. Mayhaps I will give that one a go but with your recommendations of the other great brands it may be come a "why?" situation.

Cheers, Todd
