WTB Vintage leather work bag. Have questions

I've been going all around with bags for work over the last few years. Currently I work in medical device sales. I am in and out of the Operating room, physicians offices, hospital CEO offices, corporate meetings, airports, etc. I need a new bag.

Currently I am carrying a company provided, company branded, Ogio messenger bag. This replaced a company provided, company branded, Ogio backpack.

I would love a vintage leather messenger. Soft leather, already broken in, etc.

My question is, should I buy something NEW that is made to look vintage? Or should I search for a truly vintage bag? If the latter, where is a good place to look? What should I plan to pay for a vintage bag? Any specific brands/makers that I should look for?

Further details:
I primarily carry: a leather Levenger Circo pad folio, an iPad, a few surgical techniques (basically corporate magazines), a Rhodia notebook, a leather 4 pen case, an iPad charger.

I am trying to improve my overall professional appearance. The current bag just does not go with the in-process upgrades. In addition, the metal on metal attachment point for the bag & shoulder strap squeaks while I walk. It drives me CRAZY!!

Thanks in advance for any and all recommendations.

Hit the antique stores. You never know what you will find, and they are not such a chore to restore.
