What's new

WOW just had 2 of the best shaves so far...

Howdy folks, just thought I would share details of 2 excellent shaves...

was out shopping yesterday and come accross Ingrams (blue tube) cream and was only £1.69 from superdrug and was going to wait till this morning to try it but was bored last night and thought would give it a bash, this is at 9pm i might add.

Merkur hd with a fresh un-named blade from tesco (have got feathers but dont think they are agreeing with me as still getting a very red neck) and lathered the Ingrams with a semogue boar brush.

The cream lathered up nicely in my bowl and was nice creamy thick and tbh did not think looked like very much in the bowl, however it produced much more lather when applying to my face.

Well i liked the menthol in it and the blade went accross all areas without any problems at all and had more than enough lather for 3 passes.

rinsed my face and was very chuffed with the bbs face and my skin felt very good and looked very healthy and moisturised with ZERO irritation.

So 7am this morning, what did I do??? I had another shave as i did miss a couple of whiskers last night (my error) using the same blade/razor, brush & cream and had another brilliant shave which really gets you in a good mood for the day ahead.

So the moral of the story for me anyway is....DONT under estimate some of the cheaper stuff and this cream will be staying in my rotation for good.

Could it be that my skin does not like the more expensive creams as have tried: L'Occitane cade soap, Tabac soap, Blue Beards revenge cream and none of these left me feeling as good as Ingrams did.

The Ingrams is good stuff. I view it as a cheap and more accessible equivalent to Proraso. When the weather is a bit warmer I will give it another go myself.

Well done finding the perfect product for your skin! I am certainly inclined to test the Ingram brand, if it turns up in Sweden, or if I should see it when I visit my sister in the UK.

)

Do you know I didn't even realise Superdrug even did this sort of thing. Plenty of canned rubbish but not this. I'll take a look next time I'm in town. Thanks for the mention Malcky.
