Would I like Aramis?

I LOVE Tuscany by Aramis, but problem is I want to try their other fragrances. Seems like Havana would be too dirty for me. So, how is Aramis compared to Tuscany? Or even the other ones in the line? I am hoping to buy one of the sample sets they have for this purpose, but locally I haven't any sellers of Aramis except Walmart, and they keep it in a weird box and I can't smell it. Thanks for the advice! By the way, the reason why I love Tuscany is the cinnamon, little bit of lemon and Orange. But, the citrus is the big part.

I have smelled and worn most in the Aramis line. I do not like the original at all and it is nothing like Tuscany (which I do like). I don't know what you mean by Havana being too dirty but lots of us here really like that one. It is pretty interesting stuff. I actually think Havana is the best in the line.

It depends on how young you are. I really like Aramis, but my nephews (one age 18) detest it, and so does my wife.
It is extremely strong. I remember wearing it with a jumper once. I hung the jumper up in my bedroom to air it out, and for the next four days my bedroom was engulfed with Aramis.
Regards,
Renato

It's worth a sniff as only your nose can be the judge, but it's nothing like Tuscany.

I much, much prefer Tuscany to the original Aramis.

It's been a long time but as I recall I liked it, I can also say I can almost recall the scent experience. I'm quite sure my Mom liked it a B day present back in the day.

Tuscany and Aramis have nothing in common except they are frags.

If you are under 30 and rock Aramis, koudos to you - it's an acquired taste to be honest :tongue_sm

Sounds iffy hahah. I rock Tuscany, though! I prefer "mature" scents for my age (19), but sometimes I just can't do it.

I wore it when I was 15-19 years old, but that was in the late 80's, early 90's :001_tongu

I own and enjoy Tuscany. It's a milder version of Azzaro PH.
Tuscany is sort of a mix of these two: 30% YSL Rive Gauche and 70% Azzaro Pour Homme
Aramis PH is like nothing I have smelled......a herbal oakmossy strong scent. If you are 19 and rock this, you have COJONAS !!!!

Sounds like I'd love Azarro

I would not wear Aramis; sour. Liked the smell of Tuscany, however.

It really sounds like I won't like it. I've heard from most if you like Tuscany, you'll like Azarro. I'm excited to try it. It's just very Earthy and natural smelling to me (Tuscany).

I haven't the slightest clue where the leather is in Tuscany myself. I get lemon, orange, and cinnamon.

YMMV - I get anise barbershop lavender vibe from my Tuscany, maybe it's a fake :001_tongu

I paid $54 for it in 100 ml EDT, I see it for as low as $28, so I paid a high price for fa ke it seems

No, seriously, this just shows how different a scent can evolve on different skin type and how different each nose on each human being is.......

You got it!I'm excited to see how I like Azarro compared to it.

Is this vintage or current production Tuscany? I love the Original & like the current version. The Aramis Original is Mossy/Musky/ Woods & some Leather, very Dark and Dank, I love this best during the Rainy Fall/Winter Season.

I find a Spicy (cinnamon?) Lavender base blooms in the dry-down, most of your Citrus notes appear in the opening. Yours may not be fake, but smell different do to body chemistry.

I've tried it with both and both I smell no leather whatsoever!

You should try it, but in the words of Elmer Fudd "Be vewy, vewy caweful". It is really potent. I used to wear it in the 70's and 80's, and I still like a bit of it occasionally - reminds me of when I was young and virile and able to go out to the disco on a Wednesday night, close it down, and still be able to make to work the next morning. As others have said, it's definitely an acquired taste.

The spousal unit prefers me to wear Devin (also made by EL, of course) instead of Aramis when I'm going to use "fancy cologne", but she doesn't hate the Aramis.

Wore Aramis exclusively for almost 30 years. As soon as I finish up the 1/2 bottle of Guerlain Vetiver and 1/2 bottle of St. John's Bay Rum (or sell them if anyone is interested) I am going back to the original Aramis for, hopefully, another 30 years...................
