I am not eligible to post in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum yet, but I still need to share my recent experience with Marc, aka hypo_style.
I purchased a Fat Boy from Marc earlier this week.. communication was awesome and the transaction was swift and painless.
The box showed up today.
First impressions are everything. The box was clearly over-size for a Fat Boy, even with it's case. It was wrapped in brown paper with the label covered by heavy tape. Paper removed, the box was double taped. Inside the box, the razor was wrapped separate from it's case; first wrapped in wax-paper and then in bubble wrap and nestled in foam peanuts. The case was similarly wrapped as were the unexpected packs of Wilkinson Sword blades.
The Fat Boy (named George) is in far better condition than Marc's description or pictures led me to believe.
One of the reason's I have adopted wet-shaving and participate in these on-line communities is for the sense of nostalgia and gentlemenliness and this experience was the epitome of both.
I was overwhelmed at the brown paper... Anything more was a bonus.
If you have a chance to deal with Marc consider yourself beyond lucky.
