My wife loves the cologne, she would probably not like it is it were the same as the old formulation which is what her dad wore. My dad wears Aqua Velva because my mom likes it.

Tell her instead of complaining about the problem be part of the solution. Kindly suggest that perhaps she should go out and buy something she likes for you with her own money. It's a win win

My wife hated Old Spice, until I started wearing it when I'd vacuum, mow the lawn or any light housework.

Now it's her favorite scent.

So, how do you feel about it now?

My fiancee doesn't like it. No associated memories. She just doesn't like the scent. Luckily, she's hot for Ogallala.

SWMBO loves old spice but currently I'm rolling with Dollar General OS tribute. I love it but she says it way off from the real deal which her grandfather wore. Still it teams up nicely with my old spice high endurance roll on which is cheap as chips for work days. :biggrin1:

My wife does not allow it, as that is what her dad wore and she said it's just wrong for me to smell like that..

My DW doesn't like it either. Bad associations. Ah well, the good side is that she loves Bay Rum!! So I'm happy and content there!

I wouldn't classify it as hate, necessarily, just a matter of context. Imagine the reverse; you see your wife in the kitchen, you walk up to her, you put your arms around her waist and pull her to you, you lean in with your eyes shut and nuzzle her neck, and the scent of her perfume washes over you- the exact same way your mother smelled when you were eight years old. It's just a bit of a cold shower, you know?

My wife hates when I use it. Her dad wears it. She loves her dad to death, but does not want me to smell like him (I can see where that would be a little weird). I personally like it. I have a bottle of the ViJon aftershave that I use occasionally, and she always complains. I was using the Old Spice Classic shower soap for a while. She was going to the store, and I put shower soap on the list, of course she came back with soemthing different.
