Winter Time at Badger and Blade

The Cream Edition

full

The temperature is beginning to drop, the leaves are falling, and old man winter has definitely awake from his winter slumber. As the seasons change outside, many members find that there rotations in the den do as well. What the team would love to know, is what is being put to the back of the selves, and what is coming to the front to get you through the long winter months. Warming scents to sooth the mind before taking on the harsh weather outside, and high moisturizing properties to keep your face prepared as well. So winter is here, how are you guys prepared?

Explorer all of B&B as winter has hit almost the whole forum
and there is a lot more to catch up on around town

The scents I use right now are primarily woods like sandalwood/cedarwood with some Proraso and Bluebeards Revenge thrown in. My citrus/fruity based creams are hibernating. To be honest I don't miss them I feel like I've found what works best for me. I've bought quite a few varieties in the last couple of months. Finally put some money down on a basic AoS kit to see what that's like.

I see Proraso red and Irisch Moos getting more play now that the snow has arrived. Also Cade Rich Lather. Euchris and Spanish leather as well.

Not sure why but La Toja appeals to me in colder weather. Couldn't say that it's really a warm scent particularly but I'm much more in the mood for it in winter than in summer. Post shave feel is nice, more moisturizing than some in my rotation.

Trafalgar, CF Cedar and sandlewood, C&E Sienna all great warm rich scents I love this time of year and all great performers, keep the skin in great shape for the harsh winter winds

Winter is a great time to bring out the rose scents, IMHO ... TOBS rose for me.

Call me weird, but I continue using Proraso Green once winter hits. I did pick up some Montana Natural's Organic Bay Rum shave soap that I'd love to try though, so that might come out once Christmas gets closer.

My winter creams right now are:

Tabac
Queen Charlotte Queen Charlotte scent and I have Queen Charlottes Cayman (Bay Rum) cream on deck
Biotique Bio Palmyra

Dirty Donuts are so Good.
I am going to take advantage of this winter in using up some Caswell Massey Almond I was gifted and enjoying the new puck of Stirling Coniferous I just received.

I'm stuck in sunny San Diego, so I'll keep my same tedious year-round routine. I'm not gloating. I grew up in the Midwest and am Jonesing for some seasonal variety. We get a bit more rain in the winter months, but that's about it.

We now return to our regularly scheduled thread.

I've been using QCS Cayman lately in this cold weather. I used it exclusely while I was on holidays at the beach this summer so it reminds me of warmer times. Plus the clovey / spicy scent reminds me of christmas for some reason.
