Well gents it didn't take to long as the first winner placed his guess on 10-18-09 at 2:10AM EST......The first prize goes to thubbard76 who correctly guessed that there were 107 blade packs in Grampa's Jar.

The second place (runner up) next closest number to the correct number and in order of the posters date/time stamp was ZethLent with a guess of 108.

This is interesting...

I read a book awhile back called The Wisdom of Crowds, which gives many different stories of how a collective group of average people can make pretty good decisions/gueses/estimates as a WHOLE...

When I made my guess, I averaged everybodys guess from the previous posts in an excel spreadsheet. This gave me the number of 122, but I guessed 125 since 122 and a few of the surrounding numbers were taken.

I think its interesting that 108 and 122 aren't all that far apart and proved to be a decent way to find an approximate close answer.

The book is pretty good and it was fun to test its theory!
