Who's gearing up for watching the Winter games ?

I'm excited to see how well Sochi does hosting the games. The winter games are a big deal here ever since Salt Lake hosted. I'm going to take my family to the ski jumping trials in Park City next month.

All kidding aside. Lake Placid 1980 were exciting times in Upstate NY.

Bowling = curling on ice? No way! Curling is like what bowling would be if you had to see how close you could get the ball to come to the pins and then stop, without knocking any of the pins over.

I'm going to take my family to the ski jumping trials in Park City

I wish I had a decent photo to post but the sun was in our eyes during the competition. It was fun. My daughter is excited that there will be women's ski jumping in the Olympics.

I always say i'm not going to watch much, then I find myself glued to it like it's the best thing ever. Well not the figure skating part LOL.

I'm waiting and looking forward for hockey to begin.

Both USA & Canada's mens' teams look strong, (and I'm not getting out my crystal ball either

), but I think they'll be another repeat of the last final and I'll be 'rooting' for USA to win the Gold.

What winter games? I love the Olympics but this year I have barely even heard a word. A little bit on TV but not nearly the hype as most other years. Why is that. Do we not care because it is in Russia? Love the short track speed skating.
