Wow, it lasted all of three minutes before it was snapped up! I've got a hunch it's one of ours and hopefully he'll check in once he's got it in his hands! I mean no ill will towards Maxime D, but I sure hope that this thread does not result in a flood of back door offers to the seller and it reaches the original buyer safely.

I'm not very sure if this is the original case Alex. See Porter's response here in a thread that Vargas created a while ago. Also, looking at the case, the interior and exterior seems to be in excellent condition but is missing the Gillette markings that are always known to be there in Gillette cases. If the case was original and if the Gillette marking was ripped out for some reason, we should see some trace of the original marking or a different color in the spot where the Gillette logo may have been sewed on.
Nonetheless, it's a great price for a very rare razor and the case is magnificent by itself, original or not.
Kinge I think your right. That case for some reason reminds me of old Romania and the work gypsies did. Just off the top of my head but the velvet part looks like it was inserted into the case.
Funny, I was looking for 1 like that on ebay this weekend! $150 is far too rich for my blood, though.

I kinda suspected that, it was too good to be true. Good thing i didnt PM Porter, he would have been disappointed. I wondr why these cases never survived ? Or did they ever make a case for these?

Could it be the original case but customized ? Nevermind, this case is simply beautifull, it remind me the Imperial Russia or some Gipsy artwork. I was kinda pissed, It's like holding a winning loto ticket and lose it because your window is open lol
