Which george dickel is closest in taste to gentleman jack?

I have been drinking gentleman jack neat and like it but i heard george dickel is better I wanted to see which dickel #8 or #12 would be similar?

I like the fact that #8 is 80 proof not 90 proof like the 12 but if its not good than I wont bother.

They won't be as smoky, but I'd look at the 12 or the Barrel Select. They are both top notch.

I prefer the 8yr for sipping. It is milder and a great vanilla taste.

I almost exclusively drink #12. I buy it by the handle!
TimmyBoston is right, though. The #12 Barrel Select is excellent. It won some world competition, so they say.
