Where is the best place to buy cologne on-line?

My first and most serious AD is is related to my love of colognes. This has usually resulted in impulse buying while walking past a fragrance counter. B&B has done nothing to lessen these impulses. Logic tells me that if I am going to continue to accumulate assorted fragrances, the best I can do is to minimize the cost I pay for those scents that I just have to have. Yhe two currently on my radar are Terre d'Hermes and L'Occitane Eau des 4 Voleurs. I would appreciate on any suggestions on where best to purchase either of these. I doubt I can get the L'Occitane product except through them directly. I am really looking for sites that sell high end fragrances at a discount. My biggest concern is getting stuck with counterfeit product. I have even found that local brick and mortar stores will heavily discount products such as Creed if they are aware that you know of better pricing available on-line. I'm sure products such as thes have quite a mark up.

Lately I have been buying from Beauty Encounter. They have a couple items from L'Occitane, but not what you are asking about. They also carry the Terre d'Hermes, but I have not shopped prices for that. I find Beauty Encounter to be reliable so far, and one of the least expensive of the etailers.

You can try FragranceX. They have a lot of products (big brands and no-name), good prices and ship fast. They don't sell counterfeit products but most of the time you receive an original bottle in a white cardbox, not the fancy branded box you are used to find on the store shelves. I order my 4711 cologne from them at good price and I am very happy with their service.
They have Terre d'Hermes and some products from l'Occitane:

I hope you'll find what you want.

Amazon is a pretty good source for designer scents.

If you're looking for niche, there are not many web sites that sell them at any sort of discount. At least I haven't found any.

Fragrancenet and Scentiments both sell Creed at a pretty good price, and enough of us have purchased through them that I woulds say getting a counterfeit isn't an issue. Beauty Encounter is good, but I don't know that they have a lot of niche scents. Beauty Encounter is pretty savvy. With scents that are harder to find, I see they tend to sell at retail prices.

I have seen some people in here that have had success with a guy in England I think that sells Penhaligons at a bit of a discount.

But most niche companies have such limited distribution, I rarely if ever see their scents in discounted sites. What brands are you talking about?

Avoid eBay like the plague unless you know from someone here or elsewhere that has dealt with the seller that it's the real deal. Most of the horrible fake stories you read are likely the result of someone buying a pricey scent at a ridiculously low price on eBay.

I've had good success from this gentleman. If you are looking for Penhaligon's, I can put you in touch with him...

I purchased my TdH from fragrancenet.com. Other than marginal packing, the juice is great and the price was excellent.

Is this the guy with the eBay store? Maybe it was a fluke, but my bottle of EF did not smell like my sample from perfumed court (not nearly as complex), and it was very weak.

Maybe you have the aftershave. I have bought several times from this guy in England and always got great prices and good quality stuff. He is not on ebay as far as know. He lives near a Penhaligon's outlet store, so he is picking up stuff direct from there. Some of the items I got were still wrapped in the store wrapping and came in the shopping bag of the store.

I bought a couple of colognes from them recently and found their service to be quite acceptable. The price was right too!

I have bought from fragranceX in 4 or 5 occasions.
They have excellent prices. But the delivery time to European countries is just too slow, I had packages that took more than a month to arrive. And no order arrived in less than 3 weeks.

Recently, a friend of mine ordered from them and the package took two months to arrive!

so far i have used fragrancenet.com They have had real stuff at good prices. eBay could be hit or miss, but signing up at Basenotes is also a good place to go for colognes and perfumes.

As for overseas members scentiments, is ok.Scentedmonkey also is very good
And for vintage ,rare and very hard to find check www.eurofinegifts.com

you thank me later:laugh:
Ebay also has a reputable seller,WIZDOME,who sells 100% authentic Creed, highly recommented.
As for Penhaligons and Czech & Speake ebay.co.uk is the best source.

Best,

Giannis
