Where can I get a Rooney Brush

hi all,

I'm looking for a Rooney #3 small Genuine Silvertip in a sim. ivory handle.
Anyone know where to get one? I found a place in the UK but they wanted 15 pounds to ship to US

Vintage Blades doesn't carry Rooneys in Silvertip, AFAIK. Most of the Rooneys they stock are in "Super" or "Super Silvertip" which is Rooney's grade above regular Silvertip. Don't get confused by the different grades...when people talk about Rooney brushes on here, they're mostly talking about the Super grade brushes.

You've got lots of places to check out. If one site is out, another will have it. In most cases the difference in price will only be a couple of dollars either way. I've had very good luck at Classic Shaving, but I see one member says they're out of stock on some brushes. In the past Classic has always seemed to re-stock pretty quick. :thumbup1:

Jim and the crew at Vintage are brush gurus. Jim has a wealth of knowledge about brushes and you can not go wrong with him. He stands behind every brush and he can answer any question that you have about any brush that he handles, which is considerable.

Later,
Richard

I'll dive into the Vintage Blades love fest here.
Today I just received my Rooney two-tone (handle) Heritage Stubby 2 Super.
I called Jim prior to purchasing it. Upon opening the box, on top of the red Rooney box was a sticker - "Hand picked for you by Jim". That, along with a handwritten note by Erin, hoping I'd enjoy the brush, which I'm sure I will; it's a beaut!
You can't ask for any better service than that.

Another vote for Vintage Blades here! Yesterday, I received my large Beehive and couldn't be happier with it. I whisked up some C&E last night and it was wonderful. Didn't shed a single hair, either.

Jim at Vintage Blades is great to deal with! I think he's seen the most brush buying from me. 4 Rooneys, a Simpson, and a Shavemac!

For now Vintagebladesllc no longer stocks any Rooney brush in genuine silvertip, and Classicshaving has temporarily run out of 3/1 in GS.

I can't echo enough how pleased I am with Vintage Blades LLC - they've delivered outstanding service, their prices are great, and Jim is just a good guy. I got a Rooney Super Silvertip 3/1 from them w/the faux horn handle. It's a beautiful brush that makes great lather quickly and feels really good on the face.

i already got one Rooney from Vintage Blades. Thet are out of 3/1 in Super Silvertip Ivory Knob

But, there are like three other handles, right? My Faux Horn handle is beautiful (way better than the specimen pictured online) but I also have a Pure Badger with Ivory - it's nice, but nothing to write home about.
