What's new

What's your death row meal? How about pickled pig knuckles and pigtails?

If you're Edmund Zagorski then yup, that would be it! I would choose something slightly more refined.

Assuming that there's no alcohol and that I'm not restrained by a budget it would be:
  • Amuse-buche - Chicken & Duck liver pate: Normand's (Edmonton)
  • Soup - Baked Onion: Bistro les Amis (Manhattan)
  • Hors d'oeuvres - Cheese fondue: Ticino's (Banff)
  • Salad - Caesar: Harris (San Francisco)
  • Main course - Mom's Wiener schnitzel with semmelknoedel
  • Dessert - either Mom's Sachertorte or Hostess powdered mini-donuts

How would you leave this mortal coil with a full belly?

My plan is to skip the death row meal and stay out of prison. However, a last meal would have to include scallops and king crab.

Okay, sure.

Mom’s seafood gumbo;
Wife’s chicken pot pie;
Mom’s crawfish etouffee;
Acme oysters, raw and fried;
Smothered purple hull peas;
Wife’s chocolate chip cookies;
Mother-in-law’s carrot cake

Chicken Fried Steak, mashed potatoes, a slice of white bread, all covered with cream gravy. Followed with a piece of pecan pie topped with BlueBell Homemade Vanilla.

Oh yeah, I was framed!

Is it safe to say that if you hear there is going to be an execution it's going to be in the U.S. (since we don't hear about those in China, N. Korea, etc) and that it's going to occur in the Central Time Zone?

Pizza from that place on Rue St. Viateur in Montreal, when I was 6 years old.
I have never had a pizza that smelled like it since. My sister agrees with me that it was indeed different from modern pizzas. Could be the sauce, could be the type of cheese they used. I can remember the smell exactly, and that they made the crust in the front window by throwing it up in the air to shape it, but very little else. The pizzaria is gone now, according to Google Maps Street View.
So, if they don't have a time machine, I guess I'm out of luck.

A half dozen creme-filled long johns from Sal's Food Mart in Lancaster, KY;
A half dozen chocolate iced original doughnuts from Spalding Bakery in Lexington, KY;
A sliced shoulder plate, dipped, with slaw and beans from R&S Barbecue in Tompkinsville, KY;
A dozen assorted caramel gophers from Savannah Candy Kitchen;
A giant creme puff from Hofer's Bakery in Helen, GA;
A plate of homemade biscuits with good country ham and homemade apple butter.

No need for a hangman after all of that; my heart would stop about halfway through the meal.

Yep, I told them I didn't do it.

-Slices of my own brisket
-Slices of smoked Meyers garlic sausage
-My mom's potato salad recipe (its in the wiki)
-A tipsy Texan
-A bowl of Cowboy Beans
-A bowl of Texas Red Chili
-Biscuits and cream gravy
-My mom's homemade banana pudding with vanilla wafers in around and on top

Then I'd have Ann Margaret sing this sing:
