What's this British Gillette?

I won this on eBay for $10. It looked like a 40's superspeed to me, but the description says it has "Brit. pat. 634023" in the TTO doors. Is this a Rocket?

Rocket or a Parat. If the TTO knob is slightly bigger than the handle ( bit hard to tell from the photo ) it's a Rocket, if the same size a Parat.

Nice pickup :thumbup1:

I'd say that its actually an English Aristocrat Junior (rocket style) - English versions (unlike the USA ones which were identical to the Superspeed) had a solid turning knob.

This is one on Achim's site:

I suspect that yours has a solid turning knob (although I can't see it)

Hope this helps

Dave

I do think you are wrong on this one, Dave.
Width of the knob is clearly the same as the handle, so it's a (British?) Parat.

My Parat came. I'm inclined to believe it's a German Parat, since it doesn't say Made in England under the head. The inside does say BRIT PAT 694093. This is not the patent for other Parats I've seen, though. Any thoughts? Here's a picture I took after cleaning it up.
