I've seen boar brushes dyed in white and yelowish-white. I've also seen them painted to look like a badger brush, but does anyone have a picture of a boar brush with natural unpainted boar hair? Is the hair just plain black?

I would guess it's brown to dark-brown. At least every boar I've seen is that color.
Some of the hogs we raised had white hair, some red, some black. Sorry, but forgot the breeds.
Man, I would love a brush with all those colors mixed.
Me too. I don't understand the dying of boars to resemble badgers. I as the user know its a boar, doesn't matter what color it is. The dying to resemble badger - Is that so if someone sees your brush they think it's badger?? I really don't get it.
