What's the difference between Thayers Witch Hazel and a Balm?

This may be obvious to some, but I am curious as to what the difference is between Thayers Witch Hazel and Truefitt & Hill Balm.

I typically apply the Thayers Witch Hazel afte my final rinse, let it dry and then apply the Truefitt & Hill Balm. Is this too much?

Thanks

Dave

I think of witch hazel as a postshave splash.

Depending on your skin, witch hazel might not adequately moisturize. I have dry skin and tend to favor balms. I used to use an alcohol-free WH splash followed by a balm, but lately have just been sticking with the balm. Not sure why; simplicity, maybe.

+1. Sono d'accordo con te Francesco. Witch hazel doesn't adequately moisturize my face either.
