If you want a great soap that isn't mainstream, Mike's Natural...no question hands down.

Other rec's:
Cella
L'Occitane Cade
AOS Sandalwood
RazoRock (anything, based on your scent preference)
Proraso

If you haven't used a soap it's worth trying. Don't just rely on popularity. First hand experience is what matters.

If you want recommendations then tell us what soaps you've used and what you've liked and what you've disliked so we at least have a frame of reference to work with.

You don't need any more soap.

I say go for scents. So I'd vote DrH in whatever scents appeal to you most. I've only used the Marl so I can't give suggestions beyond that.

I don't know what SIM is but I don't see anything from the USA, Italy, or France on your list. They all make some very popular soaps. I personally love Italian soft soaps. My favorite Italian Soap is Cella. My wife sure loves her USA based Mama Bears Cocoa. Mama Bear's are all the same formula with different scents so you can pretty much pick a scent that sounds interesting and be sure it will perform well.

Edit: I see you are a tallow fan! Mama Bear's isn't tallow. Cella is though.

I suggest that you give the French soaps a try. Institut Karite is my personal favorite, but it's hard to go wrong with PdP or Provence Sante. MdC is already on the list above.

Thank you! I can't believe how infrequently this world-class soap gets mentioned. Slick, protective, mild feeling...
