What's new

What`s on your feet these days ?

Hello B&Bers ,

Been enjoying these boots I got recently from down under . Henry Baxter Boots . (see image ) . They are great for dress or with denims and khakis .
I managed to get a great deal due to the CDN $ - Aussie $ rate at the time.

Also , the bloke I got them from on an Aussie shoe site , could ship them as a size exchange/return - so no duties or import taxes for me ! Total was $240 CDN shipped !

With that in mind I also scored a pair of RM Williams Comfort Cratsman in chestnut :

As you can see the price in Canada is quite high. Same as the Baxters, I got mine for $260 CDN . The fact that they are made one only one piece of leather and have only one seam on the back above the heal .

Very happy with both and get many compliments on them .

Cheers,

Scott

I like your style... Have you tried the England Made Vintage 1460's? They are suppose to be built using original lasts and original style of leather. Im debating on pulling the trigger.

Right now? A pair of slippers with Gaffer tape holding the sole onto one. Not exactly stylish but it matches my robe. :biggrin1:

How did you get them for $240, the site shows $430?

That type of boot is something I've been looking for, they look great:thumbup1:

court/every other day in office- Cole Haan or J&M mainly

Here is a few more you may like...however they are EXPENSIVE. I would love to have a pair of their work boots, but at these prices I doubt I ever will :(

Florsheim Wingtips - As part of my desire to return to the "good old days", which were decades before I was even born :001_smile, I picked up a pair of wingtips. I don't save them for black-tie "special occassions". I wear them to work, to church, dinner, etc. Not too expensive either. I picked them up on sale for less than $100.
