I don't think Simpson 2-band is as consistant. it could be really scritchy or not. Thater is guaranteed soft-tipped. Won't have the backbone of Simpson, though.

I have a 49125/1 and I did own a Claasic 2 in best. I would say those two have similar proportions. I liked the shape of the Classic 2, just didn't care for the best knot. A Simpson 2-band is definitely on my wish list
