What fuels your AD?

I know that many of you have some sort of AD.. Whether it's razors or soaps or brushes etc... What is your "collectable" and why? For me, I think it is a toss up between soaps and razors... Everytime I see one that I think looks cool or interesting, I immediately and irrationally MUST have it, only because I don't have it and I think... THINK I want it.

Manual Focus lenses. Because they produce vastly different pictures from the modern glass. I use them both on digital and film cameras.

Shave wise - definitely soaps and AS - not too big into the collecting side of things, but I really enjoy swapping things around for my morning shave.

I love trying new things and I admit I am easily distracted by shiny objects. I love golf clubs and razors. I know that new clubs will not necessarily improve my game and another razor may not provide a better shave, but I love trying different ones. I love trying different soaps, creams and aftershaves too. The smells and since everyone's skin is different you really need to try them to know how they'll work for you. I'm being good for at least the next month or so; just had to put new tires on my car which wasn't cheap.

What fuels my AD? Why, my bank account and credit card, of course!!

For me it's partly collecting information. I read about brushes every day for weeks and was hot to add many to the collection, but now that I have two I really like I'm not so tempted.

Then I found the world of fragrance. That was harder because there are so many choices - and more YMMV. It took months for that collection, but I'm no longer actively looking for more.

Cream is the only AD that remains, and that is tempered by no longer wanting 8 creams open at once. I have two that are almost gone and am looking forward to selecting replacements.

Soap and blades, mostly. I also keep moving from one Edwin Jagger razor to the next...but now with the EJ89BA11, I think that is done...but lusting after the Feather razor and the Cobra.

Right now, it seems that it has laid dormant.

I haven't bought anything in a long time. When i go to antique shops i'm looking for something very specific, if i don't find it i just leave. And if i see other razors, i'll let someone else get them.

There's only one more vintage razor i'm really looking for. Haven't found it in any shop yet. I won't buy it off fea bay, so if i can't find it in the "wild", oh well.
