What's new

What aftershaves do you prefer in the fall?

For those of you who prefer certain scents or aftershaves at certain times of the year, what do you think is best suited for the fall? The weather doesn't seem cold enough for heavy scents, but I know I start to tire of menthol and citrusy stuff as the weather starts to change.

For fall/cooler months, I prefer amber, tobacco, wood, musk, anise, pine, leather, and classic barber shop scents. Basically anything with a fuller, richer body.

During the dog days of summer, I use only mentholated AS's, like Proraso , AV, Skin Bracer, Osage Rub, Alcolado Glacial and Barbasol's Brisk & Pacific Rush. Once the weather turns a bit less oppressive, it's time to break out my bay rums--they're still summer-y, but most have no menthol.

Fall? What is that?
I live in Florida. It's 85 degrees everday, we may get 2-3 weeks of temps in the 60s when I get to wear sweaters.

But for those few weeks, I like something spicy and warm. Comfort food for the face. Old spice, Alt Innisbrook.

Proraso AS,Skin Bracer,Osage Rub all year around .:thumbup:Im too much of a menthol junkie to pack them up for the winter.
As long as I follow with a lotion during the cold months so my face doesnt dry up.
Old Spice is great for the cold months as well. And Bay Rum,Ive never tried it.

I know its odd, but to me Bay Rum is a nice winter scent. And I think I shall continue on with my clubman, but my blue scents (AV and Pacific Rush) will probably get less wear. Old Spice will probably get some good winter wear as well.
