What a difference

Sick of my Braun electric, I switched to wet-shaving about two months ago. I used a VDH boar brush and USA Personna blades in my 1961 SS, and the shaves were decent. The alone-time "man-spa" aspect of wet-shaving is one of the nicest aspects - some shaves have been good, but the learning curve's steep.

Well, my family gave me a few lovely Xmas presents from WCS, and it made a HUGE difference today. Replacing the boar with a Edwin Jagger Best Badger Shaving Brush was a lovely upgrade, though it smelled "natural." Whipped up much much more lather than the VDH one.

A huge blade sampler was also GREAT. How cool to think of these blades coming from all over the world. Which one to choose? After (too much) B&B research, I went w. the Sharks. Suffice it to say, the el-cheapo USA Personna blades went in the trash!

Long story short - this was maybe the best shave of my life today.

Merry Christmas all!

Give some time to adjust to your blades.Try the ones you regard as rubbish again after a few months...however i have done this to my derby blades and i still regard them as ****.. hmmmmm
