WCS and Simpson brushes for soaps

I've ordered a 2-band Chubby 2 from West Coast Shaving some months back, and left my country for a research semester in Italy. The brush got to my house, and my GF sent me a picture only now. I was surprised to see that this was no 2-band, but a 3-band brush. I contacted the guys at WCS, who, despite the fact that it has been almost 3 months, apologized sincerely and offered me full store credit for the brush, plus to pay for shipment. This top quality service is sure to get me to stay a loyal costumer, as mistakes happen and they way they handled this one was real classy.

The 2-band Chubby is out of stock now, and so I am forced to choose something else. I was thinking two Simpson brushes. I use soaps (triple milled, and sometimes Italian soft soaps). What brushes would you recommend? It's about a 250$ budget.

Thanks,
Omri

I own the Tulip T1 2-band and, in my opinion, one of the best brushes out there. They are offered in other size. Its not a Chubby but I never owned one so I cannot compare them.

To bad WCS doesnt sell Thater 2-band since that is the greatest brush there is, period. IMHO

I'd recommend a Tulip 3 in 2-band or a Chubby 3 in Super. The Chubby 3 in Super may be the best all-around brush ever - very soft, its super-dense knot feels terrific and it works great on soaps.

Isn't the Chubby 3 too large to lather in the original soap bowl?

Chubby 2 Best or Super are the classic Simpson. If you want two band in your price range, demand a full cash refund and then look at the Rooney 2XL or 3XL.
