Watery aftershaves

I generally prefer to apply aftershaves that are more gel-like as opposed to watery. It is just easier to me to dole out and smooth on a gel (Feather, Skin Food, Em's, etc...) compared to trying to evenly smear something with the consistency of water on my face. What are you techniques for applying splashes and the like?

I actually use a watery-gel type aftershave (Issimo Face Art). I just add one drop in the palm of my hand and than rub hands together and than gently apply to my face. I like watery-gel type aftershaves because I feel no residue and they go light on my face.

I shake a few drops onto my fingertips, rub them together, pat it on as wide an area as this will cover, and repeat until my shaven portions of my face are all well "patted". This gets even and full coverage without putting on so much as to be "sticky" or excessively strong smelling in the morning. I find the patting quite invigorating! The following tingle from the alcohol finishes the job of waking me up.
