I saw this in an Irish shop today sporting a hefty price tag. Anyone shaving with one of these?

I've never seen one of those before and I don't know if it performs well. But that sure is a great looking brush. It does look like it would be a little too heavy to be comfortable though.
Were the razor and mug with it?

I have one of the brushes - it's quite nice... but I display it, don't use it much. I don't want to drop it!
I saw a brush and mug set (I think) on eBay awhile ago as a BIN. Too rich for me.
Whatever you do with it is up to you, but that is one fine looking brush. 
I am not an overly clumsy person, but trying to use that early in the morning is inviting disaster.............. a shame because it does look really cool.

It has a really weird balance and feels like it would be tough to hold with wet soapy fingers. Do you think it was meant to be used?
...I don't think so. I think it was meant to be purchased & given for a gift, likely to be stashed in a drawer somewhere - and recycled at the estate sale many years later.
I agree - slippery, unbalanced... but mighty pretty!
They are nice looking brushes, but I wonder how difficult it is to replace the knot!
I saw the set many years ago in the Waterford factory in Ireland. Well worth a visit if any of you are near Waterford. Some amazing glass there.
