Was a date-coded 1945 (Q2) Gillette razor made?

Hi - Newbie to DE shaving and B&B. Having a great time.

Im keen to get my dad a date-coded, May 1945, razor for his next birthday.
Ive read that Gillette didn't date code Techs during the war years ('39-'45).

Can anyone advise whether any razors were date-coded - (May) 1945.

Any guidance or advice will be greatly appreciated.

the date code on razors started in 1951. Older sets can only date about the date code on blades or Ads. Here is a example with a contract Tech without date code. It was a NOS set and I´ve open the blades to see the date code on the blades. The blades are from the second quarter of 1945 (P2), so this set was from Apr. 45 or later:

Interesting. I thought Gillette began its year/quarter coding scheme in the second half of 1950. In any event, I have a 40s style Super Speed with a V-3 date code.

He's just talking about the blade, not the razor. The implication is that the razor is the same year. It's really hard to say though..it could have been made at a different time than the blade. No date code on the razor to really prove it.

I dont see it....
