Was 1963 a slow production year?

I have been looking for a nice 1963 Gillette DE(Birth Year), but there seems to be a lot fewer 63's than 60, 61, 62, 64, 65...and the ones that are out there...seem to go for the higher prices...I started noticing this and started documenting it...on the bay, in the last 3 weeks...the 1963 razors have brought an average of 18% more than the other years...

So is there something I'm missing? Maybe a strike that year or???
