I bought a Wahl Clipper set at Walmart----not sure it's called "Super Taper", but it looks similar. It seems like a great deal to me----well made, has a lot of "length gage" attachments. Works great for buzzing my own hair! I used a #4 on top and a # 2 on the back and sides and no attachment to "outline" the back and edges. After 1.5 haircuts, it's paid for itself------and I LOVE my buzz cut/crew cut. I wish I would have started cutting my own hair like this 25 years ago. I would have saved a LOT of time and money and I love the maintenance free style-----very cool and comfy, it can't get messed up! If you've never tried it, but have considered it-----JUST DO IT! It'll grow back if it's not for you, but speaking for myself, I can't remember getting as many (or ANY) compliments on my haircuts as I have since I got the crew cut.
Wahl makes very good clippers. I have used them for years. About a year ago I switched over to what I saw most barbers using - Oster Classic 76. This is one big heavy duty clipper that uses metal blades instead of the plastic guards. I does give a better cut. Since I clip my hair every two weeks, the Oster will pay for itself in less than six months.

I have been cutting my own hair using Wahl clippers for the past 20 years. I got tired of paying a barber to butcher my hair and figured I would give it a try, and save some time and money in the process.

I looked up the Oster classic 76 clippers. They look very nice, might have to check out a pair.
Have used Wahl clippers for 10 years. Does a great job and if I can learn how to do it...anyone can.
Wahl makes a good set of clippers.
My wife uses ours to cut whats left of my hair with the #1 attachment.
I don't have enough hair left to warrant a trip to the barbers.

It was all ways a $20 bill every time I went to get my hair cut.
And I do not have much hair left. so I too use #1 guard and buzz it off every 2 weeks with my Wahl clippers.

The Wahl clippers are excellent, I have never had a problem with them.
Ditto.. And the mother in law who is a hairdresser uses them too
I use them as well. I've only been doing it for about 3 years, but have not had any problems.
I use Walh Balding Clippers on a regular basis with great results. Nothing I have used cuts closer other then a DE Blade when it comes to shaving my head.

I'm still working up the nerve to try a #1 buzz----I use a #2 now, but #1 seems a LOT shorter!! (in truth, though, it IS 1/2 as short--1/4 vs. 1/8"!!) We'll see!
My wife cuts mine every 2-3 weeks with the #1. Works great! Paid for itself in 1.5 cuts and I don't have to go to the post barber, wait in line forever and get lots of hair down my shirt, hate that feeling.
I have been cutting my own hair for 10 years now (started at 15). I cut it every week and I love my wahl clippers. I can't see the picture due to I am on my phone. But wahl makes great clippers IMO.
I've been cutting my own hair for twenty years now. I have a Wahl "the professional" that I've been using for 15. My Mom gave me hers when she quit hairdressing. I don't use a comb attachment, just the clipper. Clean and oil once in a while, and it's never skipped a beat.
I don't know what kind of Wahl I have. I have been using the same Wahl for 15 years. Five years ago I have not only bean cuting my own hair but my family's hair also. It was a good investment. 
Cleaning & oiling is crucial...

I agree. I've had the same Wahl for over 15 years and I still use it to cut my hair. If you take care of them they can last forever.
