Wagner Ware #8

I was out and about last week and found a skillet that I wasn't sure as to what it was but took a chance and was rewarded with a real nice Wagner Ware #8. Got it cleaned up and have used it a few times.

Very underrated product, the early Ohio forge pans are fantastic I would avoid the later ones without the -O- on the casting as some were not as good

I had a later Wagner from the 1980s and it performed fairly well but your right Jim the earlier ones seem nicer.

I have a few Wagners. My favorite is the #9 which is a 3" deep #8. Use it for everything. I also have the stovetop grill pan which I don't use much.

I just got a 6" Wagner with the "-O-" on the bottom. It's stamped with the number 1053. I don't know if that means anything.
