What's new

Vulvix 403B

I heard that new brushes don't have a particularly lovely smell to them but this one really knocked me off my feet. I gave it 3 shampoos, conditioned it, and it still smells like a dead animal. is this normal? or do I just have to wait this out? regardless I'll be trying this out tomorrow :w00t:

When you buy a new brush it is already clean, sterilized and ready to be used.
As soon as you'll start making lather with that brush, the smell will go away by itself.
Your brush will begin smelling as the shaving cream or soap you'll decide to use that day.

So I've been giving this a try over the past few days and I'm wondering what some other people think about this brush. I'm convinced that I must be doing something wrong. It seems that it isn't able to hold enough water as everything I'm coming up with out of a C.O. Bigelow tube is rather pasty no matter how much water I ad. I went back to my Tweezerman and was able to wip up some nice thick lather without much of a problem. Just wondering... Is there some kind of learning curve with this one? The smell did go away by the way

Any brush will take some learning and getting used to but if it's anything like the 404B then I'm afraid I didn't like it at all.

I'm dealing with this myself at the moment. I'm breaking in an Omega #31064. It does smell like a dead animal, because it came from a dead animal, so i guess I'm pretty accepting. I don't consider the mild smell obnoxious in any way, but, I'm used to having wet gundogs around... sitting on my lap, sharing the bed...
I'd never think of pushing them away because of how they smell, and I suppose I feel the same way about brushes, although I admit there's no emotional attachment to a brush! :wink2:
