Vulfix-Made Simpsons Brushes - Difference between Best & Super

Ok, so I did a few searches on this, but the only information I could find pertained to Pre-Vulfix Simpsons. (I could just be bad at using the search function)

So, anyone have any current production Simpsons brushes in Best & Super? Impressions? Compare/contrast? Worth the price difference?

note: I am referring to standard Super, not the elusive Two-Band variety

I've had several three-band Simfix models in Super and Best, the latest being from Spring of this year.

The Polo 8 Best was firm, but the tips were very scritchy, too much so for me. The Tulip 3 had luxuriously soft hair, but it was way too floppy for my taste. The Emperor 3, on the other hand, worked better only because the knot was small enough to keep the flop under some control; it, too, was very soft.

I've heard talk that some newer three-band models have firmed up. If so, they could sure use it in my opionion. But I'll believe it when I see it.

I ended up selling all my Simfix's because none were quite what I wanted. If the new two-bands offer firmness and softness, then I'd dearly love to try an Emperor 3 version because I really like the style.

I've had a chubby #2 in best for about 3 weeks. I'm pleased. It is firm but not scratchy. When I make an apples to oranges comparison it is stiffer than my Rooney 3-2 in super. But this is to be expected because they are 2 very different brushes. My Rooney is my go to brush, but the chubby is turning out to be a great face latherer. I just don't face lather unless I'm in a hurry.

All that said, end game is I think my Simpson ("Simpfix", "Vulson") is an excellent product and I would buy one again.

Thanks for your input, guys! So the Simpsons Super is more dense than the Best, but the best is a tad more scritchy?

. . . So the Simpsons Super is more dense than the Best, but the best is a tad more scritchy?

In a broad, general sense I guess that's accurate. But I've had five Simfix models, each with its own personality, and some didn't fit your description.
