Voskhod - Plain v. Teflon Coated

I have never had the success that others have had with Voshkod blades, based on what I read. They have performed poorly for me - rough, tugging, pulling, etc. I'm glad others enjoy them, but they are just not a good fit for me (or my method, perhaps).

I just noticed that I have two tucks - a plain and a "Teflon coated." What is the difference? (Other than the teflon coating.) Could that explain the difference in performance?

Pretty much all blades are PTFE coated, don't take the "stainless, chrome, platinum..." labels seriously.

That's just a change in the packaging. They are still coated with PTFE aka Teflon.

A consistently good blade for me, I can get 6 shaves/12 passes, before I trade it out. My favorite.

My guess is that Teflon is a brand name and there was probably an contract to use the brand had expired.
