VintageScents shipping?

Hey all,
I ordered an SOC from VintageScents on 1/13/13. I'm in Iowa so a ways away from them, but I haven't seen any shipping information on my account page. Any one have any insight? This is my first time ordering from this site so any type of timeline help or if shipping details are usually posted or not. I did email them, just haven't heard anything back yet. Thanks!

My boars took forever to get here. Those pigs definitely didn't fly..... they rode over on a slow moving aquatic vessel of some sort.

Robbie,

The problem generally lies in customs here in the US. They have to clear everything that comes into the states. I've had packages from abroad that took 2 weeks, and ones that took a month. This is normal, I assure you, and its certainly not unique to VintageScent. Patience is your friend.

You may be able to log in to their web site and find out the tracking number there. You should see a line on your order showing Shipped with a tracking number starting with PT. You can use this tracking number with USPS to find out where your package is if it's made it to the States yet.

Some orders I have received in 10 days, but my last order took almost one full month to arrive. I ordered a Semogue 2012 Special Edition brush and kept hearing in the forums about folks getting their brushes. I ordered on 12/16, it shipped 12/18, but I did not receive it until 1/14. I was starting to worry that it had been lost, but sure enough, it did arrive.

If I were you, I'd wait a month before getting worried.

I always receive confirmation emails of shipping. Don't worry, Bruno is good guy, he'll get in touch with you.

Thanks for the assurance! Compared to a month 11 days is nothing. Looks like I'll just have to forget about the brush and be super excited when it finally shows up on my doorstep.

I live in the greater Des Moines area. The shipment I got from them took 24 days to arrive I do believe. It is definitely a case where patience is a virtue, not that I have any......

...i ordered one of their Il Rasoio limited brushes and it took over a month to get to me.......

...........be patient...... it will arrive.............

I can confirm this is the case for Australia too. Sometimes my boar from VS came within 10 days, one time it took nearly 30 days! When it arrived, I found it from the lady at the post office that it was sitting in Customs for over 2 weeks!

Got an email from Bruno today!!

Here's the scoop right now!

"I'm terribly sorry, but there's been a shortage of brushes. I've been expecting a new stock of brushes for 2 weeks now, but the factory hasn't been able to finish them, as they are waiting for some suppliers to deliver some material.
Unfortunately, I haven't yet received what I asked and this waiting is making me very anxious because of all the customers waiting for their packages.
I hope (and pray) to get the brushes in the next few days and ship them immediately.
I'm very sorry for any inconvenience."

I assumed their web site would tell you if an item was out of stock. Am I wrong about this? Yesterday I ordered an SOC boar in Ash - wonder if I will be waiting a long time to receive it.

FYI - the SOC boars still appear to be available for sale vs. other brushes that are listed as "sold out" on the Vintage Scent web site.

i'll add my Vintagescent shipping story.

ordered some Floid Suave. it came loose cap, leaking, box crushes and shipped in an envelope. I advised them of the issue, just to let them know for next time.

they immediately shipped me a replacement bottle, but never once acknowledge the issue or a single reply, just an automated response for my new order.

likely my last order with them. as good as the price are, I will likely take my future business elsewhere.

as for the SOC being out of stock, it should show such if they can't ship or at minimum, they should refund the money and advise when back in stock. as it stands, they are holding funds with no product to send and that is not cool.
