Vintage Williams Score. Is This the Good Stuff?

I found these at an antique store today. Three full rolls of Williams Tonsorial shaving soap. There's no ingredient list, but the package says it's distributed by J.B. Williams Company Cranford, NJ. Is this the good stuff? The scent on the pucks is still quite strong.

I have no idea how to date this. Any insight would be helpful.

Check the vintage soap thread that has been stickied. And yes, you've decreased the chances that any of us will ever find it in the wild! Enjoy it!

Post 1960 because it's NJ
Post 1963 because there's a zip code.
Can't refine the date much further - is there a bar code on the pack?

That's some of the best soap ever made.

Nice haul - 3 rolls at once is very very cool.

it's junk not even worth lathering. It should only be disposed of by a trained soap disposal tech that is Polish. As I meet said requirements I will be glad to help you get rid of the rancid tubes of waste and will even pay the shipping! PM ME!

Yep, that's the one alright. Nice score there!!! Life time supply of vintage Williams in one easy pick up.

Absolutely fantastic soap. Great score. What's the scent? I only ever got ONE puck that managed to still have scent. It was a rose scented puck wrapped in a tight paper much waxier than most of the pucks were wrapped. And I bought maybe 50-100 vintage williams pucks during my vintage soap obsession.

It just smells soapy, so I'm not sure what you'd call that scent. It's quite strong. I can even smell it through the wrapper on the bars that are still sealed.

Wowza! That's a great find there. I've been really eager to try one out given that I can find one.

Used Williams exclusively when I started using a brush in the early 60's. My barber would sell me a roll like this for less than $4.00 which made it very affordable. I used the soap until my barber retired and I discovered Noxema shave cream in the white tube. Never had a desire to go back.

Great find - I'd be excited to find a puck let alone three tubes of it.
Interesting label I didn't realize there were lather machines that took puck soaps, I thought that was a canned foam thing only.
