Vintage Razor Weights

Noticing how the weight of the DE razor impacts the shave, I took out the scale and weighed various models in my collection (without blades):

Gold Aristocrat (notched center bar, no date): 68 grams

1973 Black Handle Slim Adjustable (T-1): 68 grams

1966 Super Speed (L-1): 56 grams

1948/49 Super Speed: 54 grams

Schick Krona (later model w/KRONA on silo doors): 38 grams (!)

I was surprised to see the 1973 Slim & Aristocrat weighed in the same--!

(and FWIW, according to Webster's, "KRONA" is the official currency of Sweden, meaning "crown" or "wealth", from the latin "corona")

I just bought a food scale yesterday. Maybe I can add to this sometime.

That would be great--I noticed the "weights" are missing from a lot of the entries in the ShaveWiki.

And I get more accurate measurements on my scale with grams instead of ounces... (YMMV)
