I picked up this strop off thebay the other day. It's a Russian Eagle Imported 775
It's embossed "Certifyd Sanitary Select". We'll beat'em all like Certified Checks 100% Positive Value Made in USA
The Fabric is embossed Solid Woven Won't Kink In Damp Weather. It has the same "Certifyd" embossing on the bottom as the leather component does plus the number 228.
The hardware is unmarked except for the clip which is stamped made in USA. Hardware looks like quality stuff.
It had some white flecks on the leather that looked some sort of paint. It wouldn't lift off with saddle soap so I lightly scrapped it off with a razor blade. The strop looks unused. The back side of the leather has a reddish Rubber component with a woven pattern on it?
