Vintage Merkur

I came across this vintage Merkur and am hoping someone can help me out with identifying it's age. I know that Merkur made razors for many different companies so I assume that the name on the inside of the box is one of those companies.

Here is a picture of the whole razor... guess I should have included that in the first place.

it looks a lot like a 15c with all the plating gone. Not sure though if the 15c ever had a case like that.

I am still not certain if the case is original to the razor, but I can't find any information about the name on the label.

Often the European seller used a custom case advertising the shop.

Yes, it looks like a No.15 (the modern C designation came much later, maybe it is for chrome)

Thanks! From the state of the case and finish, I was thinking it is much older than that, but I guess it might have just had a rough life.

I have a vintage Merkur 3-piece slant razor that has the same Merkur engravement on the bottom on the handle.

Actually, Merkur still uses the design of the letters on their razors today, but they also write 'Solingen-Germany' on the handle.

I tried to find out when my slant was made. Handles with that missing 'Solingen-Germany' line were definitely in production in pre WWII times and they added the 'Solingen-Germany' line in the early fifties. But I really cannot confirm that. The info is very vague.
