What does vetiver smell like?
Sort of like asking what sandalwood smells like... vetiver smells like vetiver! It's sort of earthy, grassy, occasionally a bit smoky... but mainly vetiver-y.
Odd to have a scent like that be used on its own, I think. I could see a soap scented like that, but a cologne, really?
My thoughts exactly. It seems more suitable as a base note for some other fragrance. Who wants to smell like dirt?
This is why every vetiver scent available is a blend. Straight vetiver is actually pretty gross.
That's good to know. I've recently seen a few posts about vetiver and thought it was a scent being used by itself.
Thanks
Not sure where I can go to 'try' them, without the commitment of ordering something. I live in the boonies. Plus I'm not even sure where to start. I don't even use cologne. I was just curious what it was, since I'd read a few posts about it.
