I've just moved to England and I'm in need of vegetarian (vegan preferably) friendly soaps, preferably a sandalwood scent. I'm used to Mama Bear's, is there anything that good over here?
There are a good number of quality vegetable-base soaps from Europe. A few that spring to mind are Calani, Provence Santé, and Institut Karité. Calani is probably the closest to MB in variety of scents, and I would say the soap is a grade or two better.
I'm a big fan of TOBS sandalwood soap, I'm pretty certain that it's animal-free but if you shoot them an email I'm sure they'll be able to confirm. There's also Professor Blighty's glycerin soaps if you're looking for something similar to Mama Bear.
